Inclusion in Army Youth Sports 

Inclusive Sports

Army Child and Youth Services (CYS) ensures that children with special needs are included in the Youth Sports Program through the Multidisciplinary Inclusion Action Team (MIAT) This process provides individualized support, accommodations, and inclusion planning so that every child can safely and meaningfully participate in sports and fitness activities.

How Special Needs Children Are Included in Army Youth Sports

  • Multidisciplinary Inclusion Action Team (MIAT):
    • Families complete a SNAP form when registering a child with special needs.
    • An Inclusion Action Team (IAT) reviews the child’s needs and develops a plan to ensure safe participation.
    • This team may include coaches, medical staff, and program directors to coordinate accommodations.

REVENGE OF THE HAUNTED BASEMENT (MWR's Haunted House at Patton Hall)

Prepare for a chilling experience as the "Revenge of the Haunted Basement" returns to Historic Patton Hall. Last year they took over the basement. This year they expanded to the upstairs. From October 28th to 30th, the doors will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for those brave enough to enter. For an admission fee of $10 per person, you can descend into the darkness where whispers of the past await your return. This terrifying event challenges you to face the horrors that lurk within the historic walls of Patton Hall. Will you survive what lurks inside?

Join the Joint Base Community for a spooktacular celebration at the Fall-O-Ween Fest on Friday, October 30th. This exciting event is a collaborative effort between MWR, The Old Guard, The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own," and the entire Joint Base Community, promising a memorable evening of frights and delights. Get ready for live musical performances by TUSAB's Country Roads and Downrange Bands that will provide a thrilling soundtrack to the night's festivities. Prepare for an evening filled with "Fricks, Treats, and Community Fun!" designed for all ages. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities including a spooky Haunted House, creative Costume Contests, classic Hay Rides (AND HEADLESS HORSEMAN), and even some Pumpkin Smashing. Festive food and drinks will be available to keep everyone energized throughout the event. Stay tuned for event times and all the fun stuff planned here at JBMHH.armyMWR.com.
