FLANNEL & FALL FEST @ FORT MCNAIR

Get ready for a day of autumn excitement at the Flannel & Fall Fest at Fort McNair. Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 1st, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and prepare for an afternoon of community fun. Come out to the Flag Pole and Softball area for some food, contests, music and games!!! Test your skills with classic fair games like cornhole, horseshoes, axe-throwing, and the hi-striker, or have a blast with inflatable games including basketball, skee-ball, and Connect-Four. "Blue Ribbons" awards to the winners. Indulge in delicious downhome food such as brisket sandwiches, bratwurst, currywurst, soft pretzels, caramel apples, and a (fest favorite) funnel fries. Maybe just hang out with a warm glass apple cider or a cool glass of sweet iced tea. Don your best autumn attire for the Best Flannel Costume contest, play some games and have some fun. REVENGE OF THE HAUNTED BASEMENT (MWR's Haunted House at Patton Hall)

Prepare for a chilling experience as the "Revenge of the Haunted Basement" returns to Historic Patton Hall. Last year they took over the basement. This year they expanded to the upstairs. From October 28th to 30th, the doors will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for those brave enough to enter. For an admission fee of $10 per person, you can descend into the darkness where whispers of the past await your return. This terrifying event challenges you to face the horrors that lurk within the historic walls of Patton Hall. Will you survive what lurks inside?
