MWR’s March Madness Bracket Brawl

JBMHH’s March Madness Bracket Brawl is Here! Think you’ve got the best bracket prediction skillset on the Garrison? Prove it! Join the MWR March Madness Bracket Brawl, win some bragging rights, and (oh yeah that’s right), also take home the Grand Prize of Free Bowling for One Year!
Basic Instructions: Download a bracket from our website, Monday March 16th, 2026. Fill it out completely and drop it off to the Leisure Travel Office by Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 (Closing Time, 4:59PM). Winner is announced after the Champ Game on April 7th, 2026.
Did I mention the cost to enter is FREE. We do have some rules of engagement, but the cost to enter is FREE.

Eligibility
All eligible MWR patrons (Active Duty Military Members, Retirees, DoW Civilian Employees, and Family Members) may submit a bracket.
Only one (1) bracket may be submitted per ID card holder's name. (Meaning you can only submit one bracket ... this is for you guys who create 9 brackets !!! You know who you are :)
MWR employees are not eligible to participate (we have to run a legit, honest contest with no conflicts of interest)
Total Contest Entries is 250 maximum. No brackets allowed after the first 250 bracket submissions or after the 4:59PM cut-off time.

Dates to Know
Sunday, March 15, 2026 – Selection Sunday where the brackets are revealed.
Monday, March 16, 2026 – Download Official Bracket Sheet on this https://jbmhh.armymwr.com/happenings/mwr-march-madness-bracket-brawl
Wednesday, March 18, 2026 (by 4:59 PM) – Return Completed Bracket to Leisure Travel Office located within the Community Activities Center on McNair Rd (next to our Bowling Center)
Updates
Stay Tuned to the JBMHH MWR Facebook Page: MWR will post leaderboard updates on the Tuesday after each weekend of play (24 March, 31 March, 7 April), but the scoring is rather simple. You will know when your bracket is busted !!!!
Scoring (Standard)
Round 1 – if you pick a game winner in round 1, then you get 1 point for each winner
Round 2 – 2 points each
Round 3 (Sweet 16) – 4 points each
Round 4 (Elite 8) – 8 points each
Round 5 (Final Four) – 16 points each
Round 6 (Champ Game) – 32 points each
Grand Prize Winner = Person with the most total points after all is said and done!
Tiebreaker – Final Score Prediction. Predict the final score total of the Championship Game. The person with closest final score total prediction without going over will win the Grand Prize.
For example, Actual Championship Game Final Score is 75-70 or 145 Total Points
You predict 75-60 for a total of 135 Total Points … If you are still in contention and the tiebreaker is needed, then you can win as long as someone isn’t closer (such as 137 total points). Remember, you cannot go over.
In the event a tie remains after the first tiebreaker scenario, a coin toss will be held at the Bowling Center to determine a Grand Prize winner.
Grand Prize
Our Fort Myer Bowling Center has offered the winner FREE Bowling Lanes and shoes for a YEAR.
The winner is authorized to bowl three (3) free games each week until April 6th, 2027. There is no charge for a maximum of 3 games each week, lane usage, facility shoes and ball (if needed). No reservations are needed. No blackout times. Can be used during Cosmic Bowling hours as long as lanes are available.
The offer extends to the winner and one (1) guest during each weekly visit. The one guest is permitted to play three (3) free games and rent shoes at no cost with the winner. Winner must be present and play alongside guest. Additional guests must purchase games and shoe rentals. The grand prize does not include food & beverage items. Items are available for purchase.
REMEMBER – How to Play
1. Download your bracket sheet from our website
2. Fill out your bracket after Selection Sunday (so probably Monday or Tuesday)
3. Return your completed bracket by March 18th at 4:59 PM at the LTS office.
4. Get angry when Duke loses “unexpectedly” again this year
