General Facility Policies
DFMWR may close pools or designated areas at any time for special events, weather, maintenance, or safety concerns.
Patrons may not enter or swim when the pool area is closed.
No refunds will be issued for pool closures due to inclement weather.
Strollers must remain at the shallow end of all pools and be positioned at least four feet from the water’s edge.
No coolers, outside food, glass, or breakable items are permitted within the DFMWR Pool Complex boundaries.
All patrons must check in at the front desk or designated entry point before entering the facility.
Only authorized patrons and their guests may use the facility; ID checks may be required at any time.
Equipment & Flotation Devices
DFMWR does not issue swim noodles, kickboards, life jackets, or similar equipment.
Inflatable rafts, floats, and inner tubes are not permitted in any pool.
Only swim noodles and U.S. Coast Guard–approved flotation devices are allowed.
Snorkels, fins, and masks may be restricted during peak hours or at staff discretion.
Personal toys (balls, squirt guns, etc.) may be limited based on crowding or safety concerns.
Supervision & Age Requirements
Children 12 years and under must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian who is 16 years or older.
Children 12 years and under must pass a swimming test to use the diving board, water slides, or deep-water areas.
Children 12 years and under who have not passed the swim test must remain within arm’s reach of a swimming parent/guardian (16+) in shallow water only.
All non-swimmers must be actively supervised by a parent/guardian (16+).
During Adult Lap Swim, no one 17 years old or under is permitted in the pool area or seated on the pool edge. Parents/guardians may not sit on stairs or in the water holding children during this time.
Babysitters must be at least 16 years old and capable of supervising children in the water.
Health & Hygiene
Shower before entering the pool.
Do not swim if you are ill, have open wounds, or have experienced gastrointestinal symptoms within the past 24 hours.
Children who are not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers and properly fitted plastic swim covers.
Diaper changing is permitted only in designated changing areas, not on the pool deck.
Spitting, nose-blowing, or urinating in the pool is prohibited.
Patrons must wear proper swim attire; no street clothes, denim, or loose garments are allowed in the water.
Safety & Behavior
All patrons must always follow the instructions of lifeguards and pool staff.
Lifeguards are responsible for safety and emergency response; they are not a substitute for parental supervision.
No prolonged breath holding, hyperventilation, or underwater challenges.
Running, pushing, rough play, and horseplay are not permitted.No sitting, hanging, or climbing on lane lines, lifeguard stands, or safety equipment.
No diving in shallow water; diving is permitted only in water that is 9 feet or deeper.
Running entries, flips, or acrobatic maneuvers from the pool edge are not allowed.
Patrons must exit the water immediately when a whistle blast or emergency signal is given.
Lap Swim & Recreational Swim
Lap lanes are reserved for continuous lap swimming; recreational play is not permitted in lap lanes.
Swimmers must follow circle-swim etiquette during shared lap swim times.
Recreational equipment may be restricted during peak hours or special programs.
During crowded conditions, staff may limit the use of toys, balls, or flotation devices.
Facility & Event Policies
Diving boards, slides, and special features may close at any time due to weather, staffing, or maintenance.
Wibit and special event equipment may only be used during scheduled times and with proper wristbands.
Patrons must use locker rooms and restrooms appropriately; photography or video recording is prohibited in these areas.
Lost and found items will be held for a limited time; DFMWR is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Welcome to the Swimming Pools 2026 Summer Season!
Get ready for a summer of fun at the JBM-HH Swimming Pools! The 2026 season runs from Saturday, May 23 (Memorial Day Weekend) through Monday, September 7 (Labor Day).

Summer Pass Application 2026
JBMHH and MWR offer 4 swimming pools for the summer. The 50 yard and 25 meter pools offer both lap and recreation swimming opportunities. The Figure 8 pool has a slide and diving board, and the Wading Pool is available for the little ones!
