Drive Up, Pick Up, Eat Up!
Patton Hall is proud to launch a new value-added service for our customers called "Food To Go!" We designed the new curbside dinner pickup service hoping to add some much needed time back into your schedule and money back into your wallet! Food To Go will provide you with affordable, first-rate dinner options delivered right to your car door! Simply make a call, place your prepaid order, and after work, come and collect your freshly prepared dinner.
We hope our customers will consider Food To Go as a more nutritious and delicious alternative to going through the nearest fast food drive-thru. Our balanced dinners include an entrée and two sides, one of which will be a vegetable. Our Food to Go menu selections are cooked daily and prepared in a kitchen inspected and maintained according to Army regulations (that's pretty clean and safe, don't you think?).
Food To Go is perfect for feeding a busy family, last minute dinner guests, or trying to impress that special someone with a romantic dinner for two! Is it too hot to cook? Have a school project to work on? Are you completely frazzled after that long commute? Want to start going to the gym after work? That's what Food To Go is all about...helping you find time to enjoy the people and things that really matter most…you, your family and your friends!

A letter from the Business Operations Division Chief
Thank you for your patronage in 2018...we had a great year and could not have done it without your comments, participation in our club councils, events and more! We continue to make improvements in the programs and services that we deliver to you and are aware that there is more to be done! In order for the club to continue making improvements, we will work to increase our patronage.
Improvements realized in 2018, were the result of your comments from 2017. New hydraulic system for the passenger elevator, and back of the house extensive kitchen equipment upgrades were two of the major improvements sought during 2018. This year, the club not only improved the variety of foods, but introduced themed meals and offer(ed) a food delivery service, or "Food to Go." We have moved our dinner service to the Old Guard Lounge as it allows us to operate with less costs and it is a more casual environment allowing us to increase patronage. The Old Guard offers a "live pasta station" for lunch on Mondays. The evening hours of operation of the OGL was extended.
Some of the many comments that we responded to in 2018 discussed: menus that did not change enough; inability to learn about upcoming events; fewer live entertainment events; condition of the facility, challenges with phone access, etc.
Repairing the challenges in the facility will be a recurring theme for 2019, but we are aware of the issues and the work is being prioritized and scheduled or we are seeking funding to make these improvements. As early as February, we are scheduled for repair and upgrade of the bathrooms on the second floor. The tentative schedule for completion is May 2019. Carpets will be replaced across the facility beginning April 2019 for an estimated completion date of June 2019. The summer of 2018 was especially hot and caused additional challenges in an already challenged infrastructure. The facility is competing for funds to begin prioritized repair work to address the infrastructure, and when successful, we will notify you of impending work.
We received many compliments on a well-run swimming pool complex in 2018. We were fortunate to have Jana Porter, a highly experienced Aquatics Manager join our team. Running this operation requires an intricate balance of staffing the facility over the 9 hour daily operation with the patronage in the facility. We are re-looking the manner that the pools are manned to ensure that they are safe and affordable for the program to operate. We will define what those adjustments should look like and discuss it at the March Council meeting.
Most of you are aware that we have "Gone Green" and that all of our promotions and events are online. You let us know that it is difficult for you to know what is occurring in this manner. While it is important for us to function in this manner so that we don’t have to transfer those costs to you, it is just as important that you have the ability to know where to learn and get information about our events. If you haven’t signed up to have the electronic calendar sent to you, or to have text messages sent to you regarding our events, there are several ways for you to make that happen: 1) stop by the Five Star Catering office and subscribe; 2) go to the website and subscribe; 3) and the club will post on each level of the floor a poster of events for two months. If you would like training on the use of your cell phone or computers, we can and will offer training on a monthly basis...just notify the team in Five Star Catering and they will collect your information. We are adding a calendar of events to this holiday greeting, but be advised that events are subject to change and we ask that you call ahead as many events require a minimum number to occur.
In April 2018, the base changed company commanders. The new joint base commander is Col Kimberly Peeples. She will join us at the 25 January 2019 Membership Appreciation Day in Patton Hall's Koran Room where you can dance the night away. The door opens at 6:00 p.m., for cocktails, with heavy hors d'oeuvres at 7:00 p.m. There is no need to reserve a seat; the event is open on a first serve basis. Help us increase our membership potential by bringing a guest for only $10 per person.
Again, we appreciate your patronage and look forward to another great year!
